Auroville is a well-recognized town of Pondicherry which is situated near to Pondicherry in South India. It is comprised with a population of 50,000 inhabitants belonging to different cultures that plays diverse tradition and beliefs of the regions. It is also popularly known as Universal town, nearly 50 languages are spoken here which are used by many people belongs to various castes. The exceptional spectacle of this city is Matrimandir with 30 meters high which has been constructed with latest architecture and designs.
It was during mid 1960s, Sri Aurobindo Society has been founded this spiritual institution in Pondicherry especially backed by the Govt. of India. Later on, it was taken to the General Assembly of UNESCO and laid out in 1996 after passing a resolution in support of the principle of "Unity in Diversity”.
As far as business nuclear is concerned, Auroville itself is a supporting township, spreading a 109-hectare area. It is famed as "green" industries comprising small and medium-scale industries, training centers, arts and craft centers and many other coaching centers in order to provide education vastly. Most importantly, the terrain of Pondicherry is widely enclosed by sophisticated farms, dairies, orchards, forests, and wildlife farms which are popular as the Green Belt Area.
