Kumbhalgarh Fort is counted as the second major fort in Rajasthan after Chittorgarh. It is situated in at a distance of 64 kms from Udaipur in the district of Rajasmand. Built in 15th century and the creator was Maharana Rana Kumbha. This unbeatable fortress is protected under the kind of the Aravali ranges.
Surrounded by thirteen eminent mountain peaks, the fort is built on the peak of many ridges around 1,914 meters above sea level. It has the maximum length of 36 kilometers and has come up in the records. It is recognized to be the second highest ranking fort in the state of Rajasthan. It comprises abundant palaces, tradition temples and attractive gardens which are simply alluring.
While passing through Kumbhalgarh fort, a few kilometers before, there is a zigzag road where you will witness deep ravines and verdant thick forests. Also known as 'Badal Mahal' or the Palace of Cloud and it also recognized to be the birth place of great warrior Maharana Pratap. It houses many well-appointed rooms with with best interior designing with the combination of green, turquoise and white. These three colours reflect the charm of the Fort. This place gives a glimpse of beautification of the world of clouds. Cloud Palace has a fabulous scene of the down town.
The unconquerable Fort has seven massive gates, seven ramparts and eight horses side by side. These are worth-seeing walls designed by curved bastions and huge watch towers.
