Kanha National Park
Kanha National Park is the biggest tourist attraction in Kanha situated in Banjar in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh Kanha. It is stated to be one of the pleasant destinations in this area which offers a splendid time to enjoy completely with your family and friends. It is one of the finest tiger reserves in India that covers more than 940 sq km in a horse shoe shaped valley. One can easily fascinate himself by watching exceptional beauty of this place.
Bammi Dadar is amongst the best location of this national park which offers you a wonderful view of sunset. It is biggest home to thousands of animals, Birds and other species. Lone can witness sloth bear, leopard, striped hyena, spotted dear, wild boar, jungle cat, jackal and a variety of monkeys and more than 200 species. The keystone species of this national park is tiger and the big cats and leopards are tertiary carnivores commonly seen at Kanha. Some species are rarely found in this place are reptiles Python, Cobra, Krait, Rat Snake, Viper, Keelbacks, Grass snakes. Turtles and amphibians are found near the water bodies. Deer, sambar, barking deer, four horned deer are the common feature of the park. Nowadays, one can view mouse deer in this open area.
In the year of 1955, it was declared as the biggest National Park. After a deep researched on Project Tiger, the park came into an existence a tiger reserve in 1974.Today Kanha is considered the most exhilarating picturesque and beautiful wildlife reserves in Asia. It is open to the public in between November to June.
