City palace is acclaimed one of the most popular tourist attractions in Jaipur that poses as an impressive citadel. It occupies the 1/7th area of the city exhibiting a wonderful combination of Mughal and Rajasthan style architecture. The captivating palace was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh during his reign that has witnessed many additions and alterations to it.

City Palace spans a huge area that is separated into a sequence of gardens, courtyards and buildings. Originally, the outer wall was built by Raja Jai Singh occupying a huge area. Later on, some modifications were made into grand buildings by the succeeding rulers.
