Royal Orient Train

To connoisseurs of the world, very few regions can compete with the northwest border-state of Rajasthan in charm and medieval opulence. Where else can you see nomadic camel caravans cut desert tracks? Where can you still find primitive customs and rites flourishing side by side modern, cosmopolitan ways of life? Where else can you see entire villages flourishing inside magnificent forts?

Gujarat, the last western frontier, is an matchless experience. The heart of the state holds the ornamental rod. The north is a historical pageantry of many creeds. The west, soaked in antiquity, embraces one of the largest swamplands of the world. The south is a heady mix of wildlife sanctuaries, mythological pilgrim-centers, age-old carnivals and affluent port-towns. The east is urbane and aristocratic.
The Royal Orient
13 Coaches & Saloons.13 Magnificent Periods of History.

The Royal Orient is not just an express commuter train. It is a way of life—gracious, cosmopolitan and imperial—designed to transport you back in time … to a millennium of pompous monarchy, prosperous empires and legends of courage, chivalry, patriotism and supreme devotion. Begin at Delhi, chug along to Rajasthan, cross over and reach Gujarat. Return after seven memorable days and nights, enriched incomparably and enamoured forever! Fall in love with a medieval Rajput princess, inhale battle-scents of heroism, give way to royal fantasies, discover a lost paradise, remember the epics, dine with ferocious lions, ride the desert and rule the sea…. And, on the way … be fondled by 4000 years of abundance … in the seventh heaven of the Orient Express.
