Pench National Park
Nestled in the lower southern reaches of the satpuda a hill, the Pench National Park is scrolling through the park from north to south. It is one of the fascinationg national parks in the districts of Seoni and Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. It covers an area of 758 SQ Kms, out of which out a core area of 299 sq km was taken by Idarshini Pench National Park and the Mowgli Pench Sanctuary remaining was known as buffer area. The area has always been rich in flora and fauna. It has a tropical dry deciduous forest in which the core vegetation is found famed for the white Kullu trees.
In the middle of this national park, there is Pench River which is simply alluring and attractive. The responsibility of maintenance was taken by government of India; hence, it won the prestigious award from the concerned administration.
Many of varieties of Sambar, nilgai, Cheetal are also spotted into it.
Jeep Safaris is another attraction which gives you really a superb experience. One can also walk throughout the garden and watch thick jungle with a finicky feeling.
This national park is open to the public between 6 AM to 10:30AM in the morning and 3 PM to 6 PM in the evening. An ideal time to visit at this place is in-between February to April. It is closed in the months of July, August and September. The accessibility to this place is very easy through Railway; the nearest railway station is Ramtek. You can also take bus to reach at this place.
