Day 01 Welcome at Udaipur

Day 02 Wedding Shopping/Mehendi/Geet Night
The morning before the memorable evening is filled with preparations for the royal wedding in Udaipur.Participate in a royal wedding and be an integral part of all the traditional ceremonies that mark the wedding celebrations. Watch men get together to tie the traditional turbans on each other. A royal procession begins to form and the excitement grows dressed in Rajasthani attire sprinkling rose petals and attar (rose water) in the front, followed by Dhol/ Nagada (traditional drums used for all the auspicious occasions).
Be enchanted at the liveried men who stand throughout the route by which the wedding procession passes. These men carry blazing torches and add a special glamour to the royal wedding ceremony that takes place on the Jag Mandir Island. The guests are ferried across the shimmering Lake Pichola to the Jag Mandir Island for the main ceremony. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03 Main Day of Royal Wedding
The day is a busy one starting with morning traditional rituals and ceremonies. The lavish lunch is quite mouth-watering. In the late afternoon, staff helps men with tying pink-colored turbans known as Safas while women will be helped to adorn traditional attire and jewellery. A welcome drink and light snacks are served before the wedding procession starts. The bridegroom riding a decorated mare and wearing Sehra (a turban with attached flower strings covering the face of the groom) leads the royal wedding procession. All the relatives and guests are dressed in typical Rajasthani costumes and are accompanied by Dhol/Nagada beaters (drummers) and uniformed med lining the procession route holding beautiful lights.
The procession ends at the wedding venue and the guests are welcomed with garlands, sprinkling of rose petals and flowers and attar (rose water), followed by a fabulous firework. If the venue is the island-palace on Lake Pichola, then you will be ferried across the lake by boat. Dinner served has traditional Rajasthani cuisine with some of the choicest delicacies for the guests. Bride looks exceptional beautiful in her bridal costume. The chief rituals and traditional ceremonies include exchanging of garlands by bride and groom and take seven rounds of the holy fire. Indian weddings are considered very auspicious.
Day 04 Departure from Udaipur
The guests are prepared to leave with the fond memories of the Royal wedding in Udaipur and our hospitality staff ensures that the coaches/ cars are ready to transfer them to the airport with the most cherished moments of their lives in heart. |
