Vashisht temple located on the banks of the majestic River Ravi is the most ancient temple of this place which represents the religion of Hindus. This shrine is dedicated to lord Ram and his kula guru, sage Vashisht. The pouring water of this temple is like a pearl renowned as holy water where a large number of people take a bath and remove all the skin diseases. It is placed on the banks of the majestic River enthralling visitors with its serene and tranquil ambience to the visitor.
This holy place has a story tale which is related to original concept of holy books. A beautiful waterfall is situated near to this shrine that was used by sadhus(Hindu ascetics). The holiest ceremony is also celebrated in this place where many sadhus are invited. The sadhus are offered hair shorn and meals of rice and lentils food and meals with the hands of three year old children of a village. Apart from its religious significance, this temple has most distinct appearance. It is decorated with excellent and beautiful carvings on woods. The interior of this temple is rather traditional which is ornamented with antique painting and figures. Symbol of this, it represents the original prospect of Hindu religion.
