1 / Arrival Cochin
Arrive Cochin , meet assist at the airport &
transfer to the cool green mountains and the nature resort of Carmelia Haven,
approx. 5 hrs.. In the afternoon explores the forested gardens and the surrounding
tea estates and go boating on the resorts private lake nearby.

2 / Boat Ride
In the morning visit the nearby spice plantations
returning to the resort for a free afternoon to enjoy the resort and the natural
surrounds and perhaps more boating on the lake.

3 / Munnar
After breakfast proceed to Munnar, breathtakingly beautiful
- a haven of peace and tranquillity - the idyllic tourist destination in God's
own country. Set at an altitude of 6000 ft in Idukki district, Munnar was the
favoured summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. Unending
expanse of tea plantations - pristine valleys and mountains- exotic species of
flora and fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests - aroma of spice scented cool
air and the Tall Trees Resort (3 ½ hrs.), located high in the mountains
and covered all around by thick forest. Spend the afternoon exploring the nature
of the Tall Trees. Night stay in Cochin.

4 / Sightseeing in Munnar
After breakfast proceed for the full day sightseeing in
Munnar visiting the natural beauty that surrounds with
many rivers, lakes and wildlife sanctuaries. Pothamedu
offers an excellent view of the tea, coffee and cardamom
plantations in Munnar. The rolling hills, the lush mountain
and the breathtaking scenery here is ideal for trekking
and long mountain walks. Late afternoon transfer to Birds
Lagoon Resort, 2 hrs. down in the foothills. Night stay
in Munnar.

5 / Birds Lagoon Resort
This morning transfer to Birds Lagoon Resort,
2 hrs. down in the foothills. In the afternoon enjoy boating on the river in a
country canoe. Night stay in Munnar.

6 / Bird sanctuary
This morning visit the beautiful bird sanctuary
at nearby Thattekked, home to over 200 varieties of birds. This bird sanctuary
is 25 sq. km. and formed between the branches of the river Periyar. The vegetation
here consists of tropical evergreen, semi-evergreen moist deciduous forests and
plantations of teak, rosewood, mahagony etc. The sanctuary is home to the Malabar
grey hornbills, woodpeckers, parakeets, falcons and rare species such as Sri Lankan
frogmouth and rose-billed roller. There are boat cruises available from Bhoothathankettu
to Thattekkad. Night stay in Munnar.
Day 7 / Transfer
to Riverok Resort
After breakfast transfer to Riverok Resort located
by the largest waterfalls in south India. Riverok Villas are perfect destination
for a relaxing holiday with the unpolluted environment - fresh air - lush green
forest - The exuberance of nature's different colours The drive will take some
3 hrs.. In the afternoon walk along the forested river banks and climb up the
waterfalls, some 100 steps, by the thundering water. Night stay in Munnar.

8 / Cochin departure
Free until time to transfer to Cochin airport,
1 ¼ hrs. away for onward destination.
