Day 1 / Arrival Cochin
Arrive Cochin , meet
and assist at airport & transfer to your hotel, evening proceed for Kathakali
show. Kathakali is a group presentation, in which dancers take various roles in performances
traditionally based on themes from Hindu mythology, especially the two epics,
the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. Night stay in Cochin.
Day
2
Proceed for sightseeing in fort Cochin and Mattancherry which
includes famous Jewish Synagogue (build in 1568 AD), the Dutch Palace (build by
Portuguese and presented to the Cochin Raja), St. Francis church (The protestant
Church was built originally by the Portuguese in 1503 AD) & Chinese fishing
net (it is called Cheena vala in Malayalam). After lunch proceed to Munar (135
Km.). One of the most popular hill station in India, is situated at the confluence
of three mountain streams- Mudrapuzha, Nallathani and Kundala. Located at 1600
mts. Above sea level, this was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British
Government in South India. Overnight stay in Munnar.
Day 3
Visit
to Mattupatty (it is an elevation of 4500 ft. above the sea level), Devikulam
(it is small hill station situated south west of Munnar. The devikulam means the
pond of goddess) & Tea plantation. Overnight stay in Munnar.
Day 4
After breakfast proceed to Thekkady (100 Km) (the drive
to Thekkady through rain forest itself is enchanting as the road winds through
countryside, rich plantations and thick jungles). Evening visit to spices plantation.
Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Day 5
Early morning proceed for a boat cruise in periyar lake
(A boat ride in the lake surrounding the sanctuary gives one an opportunity to
see the animals. This lake is unique in the sense it is manmade and one can see
partially submerged tree-trunks in the lake.) After lunch proceed to Kumarakom
(125 Km.). Overnight stay in Kummarakom.

6
Local sightseeing
in Kumarakom (situated on the Vembanad Lake, in this small water world you will
come across plenty of traditional country crafts, boats and canones which will
take you into the heart of the scenic lakes. Kumarakom is a big blessing for Kerala.
It is located a best backwater. You may enjoy House Boats, Fishing etc. This may
be a BIG EXPERIENCES for you ). Evening proceed to Cochin (90 km). Overnight stay
in Cochin.
