Indian Embassy in Frankfurt, Germany is known as the Consulate General of India (CGI), maintaining a good relation with Frankfurt following World War II, India was the first country to end the state of war with Germany and among the first to grant the Federal Republic of Germany diplomatic recognition. It demonstrated sympathy and support for German reunification. India regards united Germany as an important partner in its quest for a new political role in the region and the world. Recently, Consulate General of India (CGI) announces that with effect from August 1, 2007 it has outsourced entire visa services to its sole authorized outsourcing agency Indo-German Consultancy services (IGCS). The city of Frankfurt is situated in the heart of Germany offers many other facets and contrasting variety. Embassy of India in Frankfurt is promoting the tourism and culture of India. There are number of societies working for the same objective of promoting the Indian tour and culture, e.g. German-Indian Society promotes German-Indian relations to better acquaint the German public with India's culture and religions, business and politics, and historical and current developments. Besides this there are numerous Indian cultural clubs and religious congregations in Frankfurt Rhine Main that strive to encourage spiritual and cultural exchange between Indians and Germans.

If you apply in person to any of our Consular Offices between 9.30hrs and 12.30 hrs Monday to Friday. The visa will be given the same day in the afternoon.
