Bahrain, once named Dilmun by ancient Sumerians, considered an island paradise in which there was no disease, death or suffering and where gods resided is an archipelago of 33 islands situated in the Middle East, archipelago in the Persian Gulf, East of Saudi Arabia. Indian Embassy in Bahrain is the reflection of friendly and cordial relations between India and Bahrain. The Archaeological evidence indicates that relation existed between the Dilmun and Indus Valley civilizations 5000 years ago! The Bahrainis, therefore, are quite familiar with India and its culture and they prefer India for medical treatment. That is why, sizeable communities from Indian states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Punjab worked there as doctors, engineers, chartered accountants, bankers, managers and other professionals.
