Originally built in the 17th century, the Deogarh Mahal bears on the top on a hill top offering wonderful view of the Aravalli mountain range. This fort is surrounded with several placid lakes spreading around the countryside. About 3 years ago, this Mahal has been switched Deogarh Mahal into a hotel offering a commanding view of the surrounding mountain range. It is located on the borders of Mewar, Marwar and Merwara, about 80 miles north-east of Udaipur at a height of about 2100 ft above sea level. It has numerous picturesque sights such as greying battlements, domes, turrets, jharokhas and huge gateways which memorize the past time of Maharajas.
The hotel offers 40 rooms in which 2 are Royal Suites and 4 are Deluxe Suites 34 Deluxe and a mini bar. Each is housed with innovative amenities and interiors which is simply comfortably elegant. Every room is insightful of a different past era. The rooms are stated with numerous alterations and modifications which bears the old traditional lifestyle of kings and queens. Deogarh is very popular for the fine art called fresco which can be displayed on the walls of the palace. The palace was built in 1670 A.D. giving a memorable experience and feel of comfort to the tourists.
