Now that we are back home after an amazing 10-day vacation in India, I wanted to thank you and your staff for helping make the vacation so memorable. All three tours we did were excellent with wonderful tour guides. I think our favourite guide was the one for the full-day tour of Old and New Delhi – not that the other two guides were not also very good, the Delhi guide was just exceptional. We’d also like to especially commend our driver, Rahul. Not only was he an excellent driver, but he is also a charming and very thoughtful person – all in all, a great asset for your tour company.

We also wanted to particularly thank Rahul for taking us out to the Galta temple on Monday morning before leaving Jaipur. It is a superbly amazing place – architecturally beautiful and so colourful with all the people and the monkeys. Rahul said it was the first time he had been there since it wasn’t on the standard Jaipur tour. We realize that it couldn’t really be fit into the standard day-tour of Jaipur – there are already almost too many things to see and absorb in one day as it is. However, whenever you have clients who are looking for a bit extra in Jaipur, we would heartily recommend it as something to add on if they are staying overnight as we did.

Firstly I must say that overall the trip was fantastic and well organised. We are a married couple aged 38 & 44 who have travelled a great deal all over the world for many years and consider ourselves experienced travellers. We are familiar with different cultures and travelling unaided on our own. Improvements Udaipur is a great place and more time could be spent there. Orcha is also a very nice place and perhaps an overnight stay would be good.
Goa was actually our favourite as it offered everything you could want.

Guides that were good All of them from Delhi to Mumbai, Particularly varanasi, udaipur and occha The driver from kochi to Trivandrum was particularly good as was the driver from Agra to udaipur Places to visit more of More natural sites and not temples, we found that by mumbai we had seen enough museums and temples. More could be made of your beautiful countryside and local customs. Some of our favourite experiences were when we asked the driver to take us somewhere tourists don't go.

Places to visit less of As above, the tour of the south I feel should be solely about nature and countryside as the attractions in the south are not as good as the north.

Air India After this trip we would never fly air India again as they always run late, the aircraft are becoming old, the staff are disinterested and the food is poor. There are much better airlines in India than them. We particularly liked indigo which is very clean simple and punctual. I would suggest that people fly with another airline to India and internally.

overall we would have no hesitation in recommending your company. Feel free to use me as a contact point for any further European customers who wish to verify the trip and your company.

Tour guide (TG): Delhi’s TG was good. Agra’s TG was good; Jaipur's TG was the best of all. Varanasi’s TG was good enough and although he spoke Spanish we did not do so .

Driver: Golden Triangle driver was excellent, drove very safely and almost made no noise with the horn. We have our best recommendations for him!! (I think his name was Atma). He was timely and very educated and had good English. The car was very clean and comfortable. Varanasi's driver used the horn too much!!! noise is a kind of pollution

The trip was organized by India’s local holidaymaker Culture Holidays India Pvt. Ltd. (www.cultureholidays.com) We had a rough idea what we wanted and they suggested the rest. And satisfied we were for sure. There were couple of places we ourselves had never recognized as worth visiting. As an example Orchha and Gwalior. You can check from pictures and you possibly agree with me. We were met at the Delhi airport by local representatives, people we knew from our previous trip and from that point we were taken care of. I can characterize the services as punctual, very friendly and on the highest professional level. To see all these amazing places is one thing but to understand what you are looking at, is another. The guides were (as I possibly marked last time) the storytellers not the ones who kill you with names and numbers. Quality and service level of the hotels did exceed our expectations in most cases. We were more than satisfied with the holiday and will use their services again. And I’m not afraid to recommend them to all, who might be interested in using India local Holidaymakers services.

hello konar, i just want to thank you for all of your hard work. everything went smoothly. all the drivers were great especially the one we had in shimla, haridwar and jaipur. i can't remember his name. he didn't speak much english but we were still able to communicate and he made us feel safe and comfortable. a monkey stole my glasses and shimla and he helped in trying to get them back. we really liked him. all the guides and assists were very helpful and infromative.

Using your Tour Report Form, we would like to highlight staff and arrangements that were very helpful to us and suitable to our enjoyment of the trip. We will also reference one or two suggestions for consideration for other travellers on your tours.

1. Norm and I were exceptionally pleased with the services your guide in Amritsar. He was a most professional representative who took us on the long journey to Mcleod Ganj and back. He escorted us onto the train to return to Delhi in the pouring rain. His knowledge of the north of India was extensive and he was very patient and accommodating. We will definitely use his services if we decide to travel to Malaysia.

2. Your rep and driver who picked up each couple at the Delhi airports gave us a welcome introduction to New Delhi, despite the fact that it was the night shift for them. We did not catch the name of the rep, but he is the shorter, thin fellow in the middle of your Culture Holidays web photo. We enjoyed his sense of humour despite the constant traffic jams and his support at the Delhi train station in the early hours of the morning. Your rep. in Jaipur was also very solicitous, seeing us at the hotel every morning - I believe that he works directly for Culture Holidays there.

3. The tours were well - done in Mandawa, Bikkaner, Jaisalmer, Bundi, Agra, Orchha, Khajuraho and Varanasi with knowledgable guides who spoke excellent English and tried to suggest some restaurants that were "off the beaten tourist path." Our most exceptional guide was, Amod Basole, based in Aurangabad. He is a knowledgable scholar on the caves of Ajanta and Ellora. We could not get enough of his time in two days to learn so much of the history, culture and religious influences of the area. It was a pleasure to begin our India tour with the immersion experience he provided.


4. We loved Mumbai, the Fariyas Hotel (great location and staff), the tour and the free time to wander around the city on our own. The services to and from the airport worked well even in the traffic for each of our many flights in and out of the domestic and international airports. Excellent hotels for services were: Hotel Ritz Plaza in Amritsar, Asia Health Resorts, Hotel Connaught, Lalgarth Palace, Jaipur House in Mt. Abu, Haveli Braj Bhusan, Hotel Jaipur Palace, Clarks in Khajuraho and the Radisson in Varanasi. We did have an overbooking problem in Jaisalmer that was sorted out by the hotel manager at RangMahal.

5. The Toyota van used on our Rajasthan tour was extremely comfortable for four people and the luggage. We cannot say enough about our driver, Jeet Singh Bisht.
He made the trip enjoyable for us with his knowledge of the roads, his punctuality, his flexibility and his beyond-the-call-of-duty evening drives to various restaurants. He is a very personable individual, has a good sense of humour and is an excellent representative of your company. I will send you a copy of a letter that I wrote to him as a thank you. He even helped us with our shopping in Udaipur on our free day! We really missed him on the last part of our trip with other drivers.

6. We have been very pleased with all the services provided by Culture Holidays. Sanjay, or as your staff refer to you, "Mr. Sanjay" - you are very respected by all your employees who speak so favourably about you. We were very impressed by this. Your company is very service-oriented and relate effectively to your clients' concerns and queries. Our every E-mail in the planning of our trip was responded to promptly and your assistance in making our personalized tour a memorable experience is appreciated. We particularly loved the superb Isola di Cocco – we would return there very readily, despite not being able to swim in the sea (because of the rip tides).

The guides were really very good except for the one in Udaipur which we have already mentioned in the trip report. The hotels were also very good.

India is as amazing and beautiful as we imagined and we learnt so much from all of your guides and drivers. We couldn't have expected it to run more smoothly than it did.

At each of the places we visited, we were met by a friendly and informative person who was genuinely enthusiastic about their subject. We were made to feel very welcome.

We thoroughly enjoyed Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore and Jaipur and couldn't believe how much there was to see, especially in Delhi. The highlight of our trip was of course seeing the Taj Mahal which I have wanted to see for so many years! it was breathtaking!. Jaipur was beautiful and we loved our stay in Ranthambore even though we weren't lucky enough to see any tigers. The tents were great and the Bagh was run very well.

The roads over there are hair raising and we certainly felt safe in the hands of your drivers so please pass on our thanks to them all especially Suresh who was with us for 4 days

Everyone worked so hard to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely recommend you to anyone that we know is travelling to India.

We had a wonderful trip through India. We wanted to thank you for all your excellent organizational abilities. We handed out the vouchers and got great service. The guides met us on time and were very well educated about the various temples and palaces. The drivers too were excellent. Especially the last one who took us from Orcha to Ranthambore to Jaiper to Delhi. Please call his agency and give him a recommendation on our behalf (his name was Sirresh). He was polite and accomodating to our schedule. Which was a bit too overwhelming by the end and we were tired and ready to go by the last day. As you know, the weather was quite hot.
It didn't matter because we had an exciting time seeing the tigers in Ranthamore and taking pictures of the Taj Mahal. We bought gifts at all destinations and we got a brief tour a the burning site on the Ganges for an extra 50 rupees. Khajaharo was a honeymoon paradise; the hotel's outsides were beautiful (as were most of the hotels) and we spent the day around the pool. The insides of some of the hotel rooms were alittle less than my wife had anticipated. Some of them had the look of being used for many years. Especially the hotel in Varansi (the Hindustani International Hotel) it was not quite a 4 star hotel. We loved the tent in Ranthambore and the Omar Halah in Orcha was beautiful.
So thanks again for your tour package. If people ask us about our trip we will recommend your agency.

Although President Bush put a damper on my trip in Delhi, my guide Ritu Raj and my driver Ashok Kumar were AWESOME. But everything we experienced - to a great extent because of the knowledge and helpfulness of your guides - made us fall in love with Rajasthan and meant that we were constantly amazed at the beauty and complexity of India. Your organisation was excellent, everything worked smoothly (despite City Park’s problems). Hotels were fine – Agra one getting a bit well worn though; Cidade de Goa was very good – pool was just what Pat was looking for; food and drink prices were over the top for Goa, but you expect this in the dearer hotels. Car transport fine – especially the driver we had for the four days in Jaipur and Agra, he was excellent.
