The Bodhi Tree
The Bodhi Tree is the most ancient sacred pipal tree for which is situated at the back of the main temple. For every Buddhist believed that this temple is well-known tree under which Gautama got enlightened. It is acclaimed one the most attractive trees which have a great importance. A large amount of devotees visit here who flock this place every year. It is assumed that the fallen seeds and leaves are the blessings however worshippers collect many of these for themselves and to their family for good health.

Due to its close association with enlightenment, the tree has great blessed and emblematic significance. Buddhists is believed that the Bodhi Tree is the main center of the world. It is a scared site at which all Buddhas attain enlightenment towards his worship.

At Bodhgaya, the Bodhi Tree is the most popular place for those pilgrims to deliberate the Buddha's teachings. Number of devotees hangs prayer flags or leave gifts at the sacred site.

Still today, it is expected to plant a Bodhi Tree in the houses of every Buddhist monastery. It is believed to be symbolizing the presence of the dharma (Buddhist teachings).
