Mariam Uz Zamani Palace Jodha Bai's Palace or Maryamuzzamani Palace is the central attraction in the city Agra. It was designed mainly to ensure the women in ‘Purdah’ that that they required in their daily life. The structure of this palace is open and large. There are many apartments inside the palace that are linked by courtyards.
At the upper left, the photo shows the entrance to the palace, while the photo to the upper right indicates the way to the inner courtyard. There are plenty of gardens to the north side and linked to the palace by a viaduct. Now, visitors can see also see a beautiful double-storied, double-domed structure Birbal's house, just north and slightly west of this palace. Jodha Bai was not queen of Akbar's queen but rather that Jahangir’s queen; hence this name was certainly escaped.
It was believed as the home of Akbar's wife, Mariam-uz-Zamani. Similarly, since the birth of a child named as Birbal refers to a male member of the Mughul royal family. But unfortunately he did not live in the harem--after all, an emperor's kindness can only extend so far!
